People assume this is a “women issue”. While the majority of people who experience incontinence are female due to pregnancy and childbirth or going into menopause this doesn’t mean men do not ever use diapers. But both men and women  can become incontinent from several diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s etc that damage the nerves or muscles that control your bladder, neurological injuries, aging. Approximately 5 million American men are dealing with some form of incontinence. The numbers in India will be similar if not more.

Think of it this way, if you pass urine or feces today and we all do, you have 25% chance that you will have to wear an adult diapers at some stage, temporarily or for a prolonged period depending on your health condition.

And we know, we can’t control everything  that affects the bladder but we can all do some right things for healthy bladder, such as eating a good balanced diet, exercise regularly, choosing water instead of other drinks, eating plenty of high-fiber foods to avoid constipation, pelvic floor muscle exercises etc.
